The big brother of video publishing is here, it is time to see it how it should be seen. YouTube alone is a pretty impressive application, but there is plenty space for improvements, I bet we at New Age Software have a better and faster portal (NASN), but unfortunately we had to removed it from server, because of copyrighting issues. Guess what, YouTube shouldn’t even operate, because everybody know that you can easily download everything you want. I would say it like this, we should all be able to publish our own portals (and we will do that on our own servers) without problems or none of us should be able to do this, in this days the case is that only the biggest survive not the better ones but the ones that currently have more money and yes one of them is YouTube, laws are valid for all of us.
Generally they done good work on YouTube’s core, it is stable and reliable, but the could be much more features build in. I am aware that YouTube is not among the newest portals by release and they done as I sad, good work and nice job, but they could have done great work, I think that they didn’t do that because of money and succsess. As Bill Gates Sad: “Succsess is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can’t lose”. And this is totally true in this case, we are preparing to take over their place and I’m sure not just we but a lot of others too. So think about the future.The main thing about Y.T. is that it is just not fair that most of us can’t have our similar portals but they can, I know that Google lost quite a lot of money with this portal, but if we look realistically in how much damage they are making to artists, they should be shut down right now. At least until everybody starts to think as futuristic as Angels And Airwaves, they sad, that they might give their next album our for free, because you see they found a very efficient wait to make money with their music, other that selling their albums. And I think that, that is the future. When everyone will agree with this kind of marketing we’ll all be happy. As well as Google and New Age Software and many others. Basically they are the only one who can truly help.
Overall I would agree that YouTube did bring something important into world of technology, I wouldn’t say that without it the web wouldn’t be as it is, but it would defenitly be diffrent from this point of view, better of worse? We’ll probably never know, at least until they found a way to travel back in time.
